When young Billy Baxter takes up with the Cisco Kid, the outlaw has a surprising proposition for him. Having been offered a marshal position in two separate towns, the Kid suggests that he and Baxter fill both vacancies between them - with the youth assuming the Kid's identity, banking on the outlaw's reputation deterring would-be challengers. Eager for adventure, Baxter accepts, and takes up the star in Prospect. But he'll find the town holds far more adventure than he'd bargained for.
