Its 1906. Sir Robert Cairns (6th Earl of Lanark) and Lady Elizabeth along with their children are now the custodians of Clanmere House. Orphaned Hannah MacDonald becomes employed as housemaid at Clanmere. The staff are under investigation after valuable paintings have been stolen from the library. Inspector McGregor has suspisions over Jack Tyrell who has been recently employed at the estate and is questioned regarding a certain employee. Hannah and Jack meet on the bridge leading to Clanmere where they seal their love with a kiss. Who stole the paintings and can they be retrieved? All will be revealed at Clanmere and peace restored once again.
