In his memoir, "Born in Kyle", Scots language champion, celebrated scriever, and raucous storyteller Billy Kay turns his gaze on the Irvine Valley of the 1950s and 1960s, using his community and family story to tell a wider story of Scotland, politics, class, and language. 

Bringing together some hilarious and heartfelt readings from Kay with the stirring Scots song performances of Stapleton, this event will be one never to forget!
